RIGHTEOUS: characterized by uprightness or morality, morally right or justifiable, acting in an upright moral way; virtuous, absolutely genuine or wonderful; good, of good quality.
Our God is righteous isn't He! When we ever question His character or His actions may we remember how righteous He is! He is always right, He is always justifiable.... virtuous, wonderful, and GOOD! Our God is so good!
GOOD: of high quality, excellent, kind, beneficent, or friendly; honorable or worthy; genuine, sound or valid; reliable; dependable; responsible; close or intimate; warm; advantageous; satisfactory for the purpose; loyal.
"They tell of the power of your awesome works—and I will proclaim your great deeds. They celebrate your abundant GOODness and joyfully sing of your RIGHTEOUSness. The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love." Psalm 145:6-8
The Bible is full of verses that describe how righteous and good our God is! May these attributes sink into our hearts and minds as a true picture of who He is.
"For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all GOODness, RIGHTEOUSness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord." Eph. 5:8-10
I pray that you and I will apply these characteristics to our life as well - in the verses above, we are called to - may we live daily in His goodness and righteousness, and as children of this light share this great news of our God with others!
